Honor has finally unveiled the Honor 70 in China, and there are three models on the market – which one will go on sale internationally?
That’s all we know so far about the Honor 70, 70 Pro and 70 Pro +.
When will the Honor 70 go on sale worldwide?
The Honor 70 series was launched on May 30, and the phones will go on sale in China from June 7.
Of course, this is just Chinese production, and we are not sure when the phones will hit the international market or when. A spokesman for Honor told us that international presentation plans were “still TBD” and that the phones had a chance to never go on sale outside of China.
How much does the Honor 70 cost?
We only have prices for phones in China, but we can use it to get an idea of how they can be shot if they are manufactured abroad.
- Honor 70: ¥2,699 (around £320/€375/$405/₹31,500)
- 70 Pro: ¥3,699 (around £440/€515/$555/₹43,000)
- Honor 70 Pro+: ¥4,299 (around £510/€600/$645/₹50,000)
The prices of the 70 and 70 Pro are exactly the same as the corresponding Honor 60 models, so the company at least resisted the desire to raise prices.
What are the features of the Honor 70?
With three phones in the series, let’s break them down in turn.
Honor 70
The Honor 70 is, frankly, the simplest phone in the set, but it still looks quite impressive.

It weighs a total of 178 grams and is the thinnest and lightest phone with a thickness of 7.91 mm. This is despite the large 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED display with curved edges.
Equipped with Snapdragon 778G + chipset with 70 5G support. It is combined with 8/12 GB RAM and 256/512 GB memory. It has a 4800 mAh battery that charges up to 66 W, and the phone runs on Honor’s Android 12 operating system with its own Magic UI 6.1.
As for photography, the main lens has a 54Mp Sony IMX800 sensor and a triple rear camera controlled by a 50Mp ultra-wide lens. There is no telephoto with only a 2Mp depth sensor for the third lens. On the front you will find a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Here are those specs in full:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+

Honor 70 Pro
As you would expect, the 70 Pro improves on the regular 70 in a few key ways. Thanks to the larger 6.78-inch display, which is now rectangular, it is larger than the other – so it is slightly curved at the top and bottom.
The chipset has been changed to MediaTek Dimensity 8000 and the battery capacity is slightly lower at 4500 mAh, and charging reaches 100 W.
The camera has also been changed. The main and ultra-wide sensors remain unchanged, while the depth sensor is replaced by an 8MP, 3x zoom telephoto lens with OIS. The selfie camera also has a resolution of up to 50Mp.
Here are those specs in full:
- MediaTek Dimensity 8000
- 8/12GB RAM
- 256/512GB storage
- 6.78in, 120Hz, FHD+ quad-curved OLED display

- 192g
Honor 70 Pro+
70 Pro + is exactly the same as Pro except for two.
The first is an improvement: the chip here is a faster MediaTek Dimensity 9000.
The second is low: for some reason there is no choice of 512 GB of memory, so the phone is limited to 256 GB instead.
