Realme GT Neo 3

The much-anticipated Realme GT Neo 3 debuted in India and serves as the first example of a phone on the market with an impressive 150W fast charger.

Realme, first mocked at the company’s international launch of the company’s GT 2 series flagship phones at MWC 2022, tried to shout about the Neo 3’s head features, but did not elaborate on its design and accessories in the following weeks.

But a few weeks later, the phone is here in all its glory, filling in the picture that Realme first started taking in February. Here’s everything you need to know about the Realme GT Neo 3.

When will the Realme GT Neo 3 go on sale?

The Realme GT Neo 3 went on sale on March 22 in China and then on April 29 in India – the phone is currently on sale.

As for Europe, Realme has confirmed that the phone will go on sale on June 8, along with the previously unannounced GT Neo 3T. This is actually earlier than expected, as the brand had previously promised to enter the European market in the “first half of H2”.

China was lucky enough to get a special Naruto edition of the GT Neo 3, but in Europe there will be a Dragon Ball Z edition of the GT Neo 3T instead – but there are still few details about this model.

How much is the Realme GT Neo 3

Now that the GT Neo 3 is on sale in India, we have a better idea of the global price of the GT Neo 3, not one, but two options: one with a 150 W charger and the other with a relatively modest 80 W battery (and a larger 5000 mAh battery). There is also an exclusive Chinese model with up to 512 GB of memory.

  • 8GB + 128GB, 80W charging = ₹36,999 (approx. $485/£385/€460)
  • 8GB + 256GB, 80W charging = ₹38,999 (approx. $510/£410/€485)
  • 12GB + 256GB, 150W charging = ₹42,999 (approx. $560/£450/€535)
  • 12GB + 512GB, 150W charging = ¥3,199 (approx. $475/£380/€445/₹37,000)

Interestingly, although the GT Neo 3 is essentially the same phone, it is much cheaper than the OnePlus 10R – it starts at 38,999 yen and goes up to 43,999 yen. So, if you are not afraid to give up the OnePlus brand (and a slightly overclocked processor), the GT Neo 3 would definitely be a better buy.

What are the features of Realme GT Neo 3?

The main feature of the GT Neo 3 may be its 150W charging, but there is more to the phone.

The phone is equipped with a new Dimensity 8100 chipset from MediaTek. While the Dimensity 9000 is MediaTek’s response to the likes of the top-level Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the 8000 series (currently consisting of the Dimensity 8000 and 8100) is larger than the 5 with an eight-core configuration. It consists of four cortices. It works in nm. -A78 large cores and four small Cortex-A55 cores, along with Mali-G610 MC6 based on ARM’s latest GPU architecture.

Between the two, the Dimensity 8100 supports higher CPU and GPU frequencies than the standard 8000, while the series as a whole offers support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

The colors of the phone are inspired by the car from which the series is named, and there are racing lines running down the sides. For the Chinese version, they are specifically named after Le Mans and Silverstone, while for India, they are called Sprint White and Nitro Blue and are combined with the simpler Asphalt Black.

The screen is 120Hz AMOLED with Full HD + resolution and is quite large at 6.7 inches. There’s also a secondary chipset that supports the Dimensity 8100 or, to be more precise, the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU for 120 frames per second during play and improved power efficiency in some scenarios.

This feature, which appears to be independent of GT Mode 3.0, is optimized to work with certain games (initially more than 20) and, as noted by GSMArena, the GT Neo 3 is also the official phone of Honor of Kings. National competition in China.

As for the photo, the GT Neo 3 is based on the same camera device as the standard Realme GT 2, powered by the popular 50Mp Sony IMX766 sensor used by Realme, OnePlus, Oppo and others.

Then there’s the battery and charger. This very important 150 W UltraDart fast charger is connected to Realme’s dual-cell 4500 mAh battery and is rated for up to 1600 charging cycles with 80% battery health, far above the industry standard and especially impressive for the phone. accusations like this. fast.

There is also a second, cheaper version of the phone with a relatively slow 80 W wired charger, but it benefits from a larger 5000 mAh cell.

Realme GT Neo 3 Flash

Prior to the presentation of the GT Neo 3, the leaked TENAA list highlighted the availability of two versions of the GT Neo 3, one of which (RMX3562) was shown to have a larger capacity battery than the standard Neo 3.

At the time, this other model was called the ‘GT Neo 3 Flash’, but since then it has been released as another SKU of the standard GT Neo 3 with an 80 W charger and a larger 5000 mAh battery.

Realme GT Neo 3T

Although Flash has never been realized as its own model, we know that it will be the GT Neo 3T as Realme begins to introduce the phone for the global release.

The official poster features a corner selfie camera, and the company has also confirmed that it will include an 80W wired charger and a Snapdragon 870 chip.

The Geekbench list also shows that it will ship with Android 12 and 8 GB of RAM. According to other reports, it will have a 6.5-inch AMOLED display, 64 Mp main rear camera and 16 Mp selfie camera.
