There has never been a better time to buy an affordable smartphone. The mid-range has made significant strides in recent years, with a few impressive devices now available at dubious prices to the flagship point that requires you to make the most of your hard-earned money.
Samsung added surprise in March when it launched the latest models in the Galaxy A series, including the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and Samsung Galaxy A73 5G, which are currently only available in India. However, rumors are swirling that there is another device in the pipeline that could be the most powerful mid-range phone Samsung has ever offered. Here are the news and leaks about the Samsung Galaxy A83 5G.
When will the Samsung Galaxy A83 5G be released?
Samsung has not officially announced whether the Galaxy A83 5G will be real. As we have already seen that the A-series phones will go on sale in 2022, the speculation is likely to be related to the initial ideas for the 2023 models.
However, one thing that gives us hope is that Samsung introduced the Galaxy A82 last year under the name Galaxy Quantum 2, albeit only in South Korea. This model was followed by the Galaxy Quantum 3, which is also available in South Korea, which went on sale in April 2022. Then we think that this model will be a different name Galaxy A83 5G, so its already existing means that it is reliable. If Samsung allows it to leave the country, it can come at any time
Interestingly, the Galaxy Quantum 3 is essentially a reconfigured Galaxy M53, but it has a new Quantum Encryption feature that aims to add additional encryption and security layers to online financial exchanges. Since the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is already available in the UK, does that mean we’ll never see the A83 5G? Maybe, but the Korean giant has a history of releasing different phones every year, so we still can’t rule it out.
How much will the Samsung Galaxy A83 5G cost?
As of the date of release, there is no exact information about the price of the Galaxy A83 5G. For other A-Series models, the price difference between the previous generation and the current generation was small, so we were able to see that the A83 5G sold for around £ 450-500, for around € 520.-585€/550 $ -620$.
This is probably true for other A-Series models currently rated as follows.
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G
- 8GB RAM/128GB storage –
Samsung Galaxy A73 pricing on
- 8GB RAM/128GB storage – ₹41,999 (approximately £425/€505/US$555)
- 8GB RAM/256GB storage – ₹44,999 (approximately £455/€545/$595)
Samsung Galaxy M53 5G
- 8GB RAM/128GB storage – £419 ($516/€490 approx)
What features will we see in Samsung Galaxy A83 5G?
At this point, it’s a little confusing trying to decipher the rumors about a new model, given the variants of existing Samsung products that may have different names in different regions.
Based on the Quantum 3 (along with the Galaxy M53 5G), we can see a device equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor or variant, quad camera array 8GB RAM, 128GB memory, 108MP f/1.8. (wide), with 8MP f/2.2 (ultra-wide), 2MP f/2.2 (macro) and 2MP f/2.4 (depth), 32MP f/2.2 (width) front camera. It will be coupled with a 6.7-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
It’s almost identical to the Galaxy A73 and M53, but only the Quantum Encryption feature really distinguishes them (given it was given to the A83). So we don’t see the advantage of Samsung launching the device when it’s very close to other devices that already exist.

To be honest, we don’t know if we will see the Galaxy A83 5G. Although at the time of this writing, the Galaxy A73 5G will not be available outside of India, we think that the arrival of the Galaxy M53 5G (at least in the UK) may be equivalent, meaning there will be no other model. The model is on the list until next year. The lack of strong rumors also indicates that Samsung will not go on sale soon. Although we will continue to search, so be sure to return to this page from time to time if the Korean giants surprise us again.
